The context

An assistance company in Ecuador brings together twenty trades —towing, ambulance, mechanics, plumbing, locksmiths, legal— and a provider network across eighteen cities. Customers don't know who to call or whether a provider reaches their neighborhood, and requests come in by phone and WhatsApp to a desk that logs them in a spreadsheet without knowing which one is about to go overdue.

What the system does

  • Search by the problem, not the trade: “engine failure” leads to Mechanics › Car, with city and neighborhood or the phone's location
  • Twenty trades, 84 service types and 282 problems, each with its urgency and a reference price
  • Results by neighborhood with a map; if nobody covers it, the rest of the city shows up, and if the city has no one the request goes to the desk
  • A three-step form with each trade's own questions, national ID and tax ID checked against their check digit, and Ecuadorian mobile format
  • Every request lands in the queue with the first-contact deadline of its urgency: five minutes for an emergency, thirty for same-day, four hours for scheduled
  • A work panel with one-tap call and WhatsApp, the outcome of each attempt, reassignment to another provider in the area, the scheduled visit and internal notes
  • Tracking by code for the customer, who sees what the desk did without seeing internal notes
  • A map of Ecuador with open requests by status and the provider network on top
  • Agents work the queue; supervisors also manage the network, pull providers from search and see the fee charged per referral
