The context

It's the portfolio's third game, and the first built from real assets instead of geometry drawn in code: jungle scanned from real plants, a sky shot on a rainforest trail, an animated T-rex and a muddy expedition 4×4. It's here to show that a browser tab can open like a movie and play like a console game.

What the system does

  • A ten-second cinematic intro scripted in time: the ground shaking before anything shows, the T-rex stepping out of the fog, the roar in close-up, a whip pan to the car and the ignition
  • An endless jungle: vegetation instanced by the hundreds and recycled in a 300-meter window, and a single ground plane where mud and leaf litter blend with a noisy edge
  • Free driving on a winding road: steering that loses bite with speed, brakes, a handbrake and lateral grip that eats the drift, with smoke and tire marks in the mud
  • The T-rex runs down the same track and gains on you: far back it's in the rear-view mirror, up close it swings wide and catches you side by side, right in the main camera
  • Distance to the T-rex as a bar that turns red and beats, a red vignette when it's close, and every footstep shaking the camera
  • Rocks to dodge, trunks that block half the road and puddles that steal your grip; amber traces the good line, with a combo whose chime climbs a semitone per gem
  • Sound from real recordings plus Web Audio synthesis that reacts to the game: the engine revs with speed and the heartbeat speeds up with distance
